Job Summary

We are looking for a newAssistant Accountantto join ourteam.

Acacia Connection is anEmployee Assistance providerthat is making a difference to the lives of thousands of employees and their immediate families in the area of mental health. We provide high quality exceptional counselling services and assistance to individuals who have personal and/or work-related issues that may impact their wellbeing work performance safety individual and workplace morale and psychological health.

An organised and self-motivated individual who has well developed interpersonal and communications skills the focus of the Assistant Accountant is to assist Acacias business operations process finance functions and support business growth. This role would suit a university graduate.

What You Need to Know

  • Permanent full-time employment (Mon-Fri)
  • Based in our Brisbane office
  • Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Credit control and management of aged receivables
  • Oversight of all financial operations
  • Processing of payroll

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential
  • Prior experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable (highly desirable)
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping (highly desirable)
  • Experience in using Xero (preferred but not essential)
  • Proven experience working in finance operations
  • Experience with interacting with senior management and presenting financial information
  • Experience in leveraging technology for gaining analysing and reporting financial information
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite (in particular excel) and general knowledge of information management systems
  • Consistent and professional presentation and manner
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task work under pressure be self-sourcing and work well independently and in a team setting
  • In addition to clerical skill critical to success will be your high levels of integrity transparency and ability align with the values and ethos of the organisation
