Job Title: Electrician / Electrician Trainee

Reports to: General Foreman

Location: Dayton OH (Surrounding Areas)

FLSA Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt $38.00 to $43.70 per hour with required experience. Additional retirement plan of $13.99 per hour with 12000-hour experience in the electrical trade.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment or fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Use a variety of tools or equipment such as power construction equipment measuring devices power tools and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes ammeters or test lamps.
  • Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles light fixtures light switches lighting ballast motors etc.
  • Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat orderly and safe condition.
  • Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary according to department policies.
  • Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention ethics etc.
  • Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
  • Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
