Sourcing & Product Development Manager

The Product Development & Sourcing Manager is responsible for driving the full product lifecyclefrom concept through commercializationwhile ensuring products are delivered on time at target margins and with consistent quality. This role partners closely with sales vendors and internal teams to plan launches negotiate costs manage product data and proactively identify risks related to margin timing or feasibility.

The ideal candidate brings strong overseas manufacturing experience excellent commercial judgment and a systems-driven mindset. This position plays a critical role in creating predictable product launches reducing rush costs and enabling faster more confident sales quoting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development and commercialization including sourcing costing lead times MOQs and pricing
• Review and manage the new product pipeline on a monthly basis tracking progress and removing blockers
• Plan prioritize and execute upcoming product launches each month
• Develop and maintain an approved holiday gift assortment (approximately 50 items annually)
• Negotiate vendor pricing commercial terms and annual discounts across all product categories
• Establish and maintain pricing structures by vendor product type and volume tier
• Drive ongoing cost improvements and margin optimization
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product data in internal systems and on the company website
• Support sales teams with fast accurate product feasibility assessments sourcing options and pricing guidance
• Proactively identify and flag low-margin high-risk or unrealistic product requests
• Reduce rush freight rework and margin erosion through proactive planning and execution

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product development and sourcing
• Strong knowledge of overseas manufacturing and supplier management
• Clear understanding of true landed costs including freight duties and production variables
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance cost quality and timelines
• Experience negotiating vendor pricing terms and cost improvements
• Highly organized with strong planning and prioritization skills
• Systems-focused with the ability to maintain accurate product data
• Confident decision-maker able to approve block or escalate product requests as needed
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support sales and cross-functional teams
