Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Lieutenant (Logistics) or Warrant Officer (Logs (Sup)) to serve as SO3 A4 LOGISTICS at ISTAR FHQ RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 22 June 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

Description of Role:

As Air ISTAR SO3 A4 Logs you are the focal point for all Logistics based planning discussions and queries within the ISTAR FHQ. You act as the Logistics Subject Matter Expert for the ISTAR Air Wings at both RAF Waddington and RAF Lossiemouth with Line Management responsibilities in both locations.

Specific areas of delivery include:

Provide A4 Logistics input to ISTAR FHQ A5 Deployment Planning Activity.
Take an active role in operational contingency and Stn planning.
Actively support ISTAR Force transition to conflict planning and Agile Combat Employment preparedness.
Support with NATO interoperability of spares between shared/common ISTAR platforms.
Understand and assimilate Logistical policy advising of changes and updates.
Identify Logistics risks regarding ISTAR operations and manage the resolution process escalating when required.
Management of Air ISTAR Force HQ A4 Logs Team at WAD & LOS ISTAR FHQs.
Facilitate A4 Logs commitments and planning responsibility for all Air ISTAR platforms.
Act as focal point for ISTAR Force-wide Logs data capture analysis and specialist advice.
Facilitate communication to maintain interaction between FHQ Air Wings Stns Fg Sqns DE&S and Industry.
Manage and administer any required Logistics Working Groups. Contribute to Capability Working Groups and Programme Boards when Logistics input is required.
