Investment Accounting Business Analyst Manager

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Business Analyst to manage and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients in the investment management industry. The ideal candidate must be flexible adaptable and passionate about innovation. This role involves liaising with key stakeholders and collaborating with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.

Requirements:

Experience & Expertise:

• Proven experience in portfolio and fund accounting within the investment management industry.
• 12 years of experience in portfolio and fund accounting
• Hands-on exposure to accounting platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin Geneva and SimCorp Dimension.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to data migration and platform implementation projects particularly within accounting systems.

Technical & Functional Skills:

• Solid understanding of security reference data and its critical role in financial systems and processes.
• Extensive expertise across multiple asset classes including fixed income equities and derivatives covering front middle and back-office operations for both buy-side and sell-side institutions.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Familiarity with STAT reporting is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of financial statements.

Data & Reconciliation Capabilities:

• Skilled in performing accounting data reconciliations and conducting financial impact analyses to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Analytical mindset to triage reconciliation differences during migration and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Ability to identify and escalate data issues including logging and managing support tickets.

Architecture & Communication:

• High-level understanding of data models application architecture and business processes within financial platforms.
• Capable of translating client requirements into actionable insights for technical teams.
• Strong leadership qualities and excellent client-facing communication skills.

Preferred skills:

• Strong techno-functional knowledge of core wealth/asset management platforms such as Aladdin SimCorp Dimension and Geneva.
• Solid business and accounting knowledge of investment-related products.
• Technical experience with relational data models and SQL queries.
• Proficiency in Oracle MS SQL or DB2 databases with strong data analytics skills.
• Advanced Excel and VBA skills.
