Torch Technologiesis seeking aMechanical Engineer Principal to join the team at Hill AFB UT. Torch Technologies is a 100% employee-owned business dedicated to providing superior research development and engineering services to the Department of Defense. As defense contractors the services we provide directly support the warfighter.

As aMechanical Engineer Principal your duties will include the following but are not limited to:

Apply specialized knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories principles concepts standards and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives costs schedules performance criteria and existing policies.

Advise in the science and practice of aeronautics involving airborne vehicles traversing the earths atmosphere and space flight.

Assist in developing and applying the means of testing evaluation life prediction and standardization of materials and their properties for use in engineering designs and projects.

Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data such as 2D drawings and 3D models.

Perform mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering work involving the application of advanced theories concepts principles and processes to the acquisition development and sustainment of weapon systems subsystems and/or support equipment.

Assist with planning organizing directing and coordinating significant and complex projects involving the science of mechanical engineering to include:Statics Dynamics Tribology Mechanical wear Fatigue Corrosion Fluid dynamics Thermodynamics Heat transfer

RequiredQualifications:

U.S. Citizenship

Bachelors degree with individual research development plus 5 years related experience

OR Masters with individual research development plus 3 years related experience

Ability to obtain andmaintainaSecret Clearance.

In addition to the requirements in 3.5 the Contractor shall apply specialized knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories principles concepts standards and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives costs schedules performance criteria and existing policies.
