URGENT REQUEST: Submit Provider Profiles by August 14thLocation:Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care CenterSisseton Indian Health Service100 Lake Traverse Drive Sisseton SD 57262Positions Available:Two (2) Outpatient Midlevel Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants)Schedule and Hours:Shifts range from 8 to 10 hours between 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Monday through FridayWeekend shifts are 4 hours each (1:00 PM 5:00 PM) Saturday and SundayExpected workweek: 4050 hoursMay include evening/closing shifts (11:00 AM 8:00 PM)Holiday and weekend coverage may be required with adjusted time off based on staffingContract Term:Initial base period of 6 monthsOption for up to nine (9) additional 6-month extensionsProvider RequirementsExperience & Certification:Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Family or General Medicine within the past 3 yearsBoard Certified Board Eligible or partial completion of accredited residencyActive BLS (Basic Life Support) certification requiredMust successfully complete full credentialing and federal background clearanceHealth Requirements:Must be in good physical health and capable of performing all job dutiesCurrent immunizations required: Hepatitis B MMR Varicella Tdap and InfluenzaNegative PPD (tuberculosis test) within the past yearTechnical Skills:Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and general computer skillsFluent in English (both written and spoken)Clinical Responsibilities:Deliver outpatient primary care services to patients of all ages (average 16 patients per day)Engage in the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model and provide patient educationCoordinate referrals and follow-up with specialists as neededOrder and electronically sign off on lab work and imagingEnsure accurate and timely documentation in the EHRBuild and maintain respectful culturally sensitive relationships with the Native American patient populationUphold professionalism cultural awareness and patient confidentialityParticipate in peer reviews staff training and clinical committees as assignedRecruitment Instructions:Please submit qualified and credentialed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants along with all required documentation by August 14th. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in Indian Health Service or rural/tribal healthcare settings.
