Financial Analyst III Accounts Payable (individual contributor)

The Financial Analyst III Accounts Payable (individual contributor) will be responsible for delivering accurate timely and well-controlled AP services for a specific geography or country. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the Finance Shared Services organization and the broader business to support growth while maintaining operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is proactive self-motivated and analytical with exceptional attention to detail strong business modeling skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. This role requires frequent interaction with senior leadership strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort operating independently in ambiguous fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Operate independently while initiating and managing complex departmental and cross-functional initiatives.
Establish enhance and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adoption of best practices.
Serve as a consultant or project lead across finance functions or in direct support of business operations.
Act as an escalation point for resolving complex issues involving internal and external stakeholders.
Drive execution of the teams vision and strategic goals.
Develop and communicate the team or departments long-term vision and objectives.
Business & Functional Responsibilities
Lead the development and scaling of AP systems and processes to ensure timely vendor payments.
Build track and analyze performance metrics focusing on on-time payments cost-reduction initiatives and future headcount planning.
Expand self-service capabilities to improve vendor experience and reduce manual effort.
Deliver weekly and monthly reporting and performance updates to Director- and VP-level finance and business leaders.
Design implement and maintain effective internal controls ensuring operational and design effectiveness.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve systems processes and overall efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
10-12 years of experience in tax finance or a related analytical field
10-12 years of experience across multiple finance and accounting roles
10-12 years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
10-12 years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis
10-12 years of experience building financial and operational reports/datasets to support business decision-making
10-12 years of experience driving process improvements through automation and analysis
10-12 years of experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives to scale operations and strengthen controllership
Bachelors degree in engineering statistics business or equivalent quantitative field; or Bachelors degree with 10-12 years in a quantitative role (e.g. engineering process re-engineering quality assurance)
Preferred Qualifications
10-12 years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data performing root cause analysis and implementing escalation plans
10-12 years of experience solving complex business problems through accurate financial models analysis and recommendations with measurable business impact (e.g. cost savings operational efficiencies customer benefits)
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL and ETL processes
Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g. SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and financial systems (e.g. Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience in forecasting budgeting variance analysis and interpreting financial results

- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
