About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over6700students and employs750employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our districtconsistsof one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 1-4 two middle schools for grades 5-8 and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons instructing students with a wide range of abilities assessing student learning collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment communicating with students parent and multiple stakeholders maintaining accurate records supervising students participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Contract:approximately 4-6 weeks exact dates TBD.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by theState of Minnesota specific content knowledge training or job experience required before appointment and successful student teaching. Special Education backgroundprefered. DD licensure required from PELBS.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate withappropriate Certification from PELSB: $249.55/day. $190/8-hour day ($23.75/hour) if newer to the district (or $200/8-hour day $25/hour) if have 60 certified staff substitute or other certified days in the district in 24-25 School Year) with short-call substitute license only.
Benefits: Available but without district contribution for fully certified teacher if contract days are less than 30; fully certified teachers with assignments longer than 30 days are entitled to District Contribution at theFull-time (1.0 FTE)benefit level. No benefits available with short-call substitute license or licensure in another area.Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST)will be provided as required by law for either license type.
