Qualifications:
Associatesdegree (preferred); College hours high school diploma or GED (required)
Strong customer service skills.
Proficient verbal and written communications.
Works independently.
Possess a valid Texas Drivers License and safe driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of IP based digital security cameras.
Knowledge of Video management systems.
Knowledge of security camera network cat5e/6e cabling.
Knowledge of access control hardware.
Primary Purpose:
Help maintain the physical security endpoint solutions for the school district.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for troubleshooting security cameras.
- Responsible for removing and replacing security cameras.
- Responsible adjusting and focusing existing cameras.
- Responsible for RMA of security cameras.
- Monitoring status of security cameras utilizing vendor specific management software.
- Identifying connectivity locations.
- Responsible for repair removing and replacing access control hardware.
- Maintain spare stock.
Equipment Used:
Laptop computer general hand tools network test equipment ladders and lifts and district issued van.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district wide travel working from ladders lifting of heavy equipment (50 lbs.). On occasion working prolonged hours including weekends and Holidays to facilitate repair and upgrade of campus infrastructure as needed. Will use small hand tools related to completing assigned duties.
