  • 7.5 hours p/w with potential for 15 hours p/w
  • Hourly Rate $38.50 - $45 (dependent on experience)
  • Purpose-built location in the Health Translation Hub Randwick NSW
  • Hybrid working environment

The Opportunity:

The George Institute for Global Health is seeking a Dietitian to support the nutrition component of our Food is Medicine trials within the Food Policy team. This role will focus on delivering personalised nutrition advice to study participants and supporting the delivery and administration of nutrition-based research interventions.

Working closely with researchers clinicians and trial participants the Dietitian will contribute to high-quality research aimed at preventing diet-related ill health and translating evidence into real-world policy and practice.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Undertaking dietary consultations and providing personalised nutrition advice to study participants
  • Supporting intervention delivery through healthy food box ordering
  • Providing administrative and technical support to the study team
  • Assisting with study tracking documentation and preparation of study materials
  • Data entry and data management ensuring accuracy completeness and timeliness
  • Preparing paperwork required for the study and maintaining trial records
  • Communicating effectively with participants clinicians investigators and internal stakeholders
  • Attending project and team meetings as required

Skills Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate

  • Bachelor or Masters degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Member of Dietitians Australia with Provisional or Full APD status
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in dietetic practice
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
  • Ability to work effectively within a research team
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
