Program Assistant 1:1 Long-Term SubstituteRate of Pay: $125 per dayPosition PurposeAssist student with intensive special needs throughout the day in class electives lunch and movement throughout the building at all times in a substantially separate setting maintain very close proximity collect data closely monitor student throughout the day across all settings provide academic support as needed toileting assistance monitoring for attention work completion and social navigation must be very comfortable with using assistive technology including iPad and various apps for communication needs of students physical support of students may be required able to take data on behavior plan team player flexible in taking direction to assist student as :SPEDIAC training preferredAssociates Degree preferredProgram Assistant training experience or equivalent is desiredEnjoy children and be capable of using good judgment in working with students and instructional staff assigned to the programAbility to communicate with TEAM members and work cooperatively as student dictates and maintains a safe and secure educational environmentGeneral Responsibilities:Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settingsNeeds to assist with a behavior plan implementationProvide academic support as neededMay need to support feeding and toileting needMonitoring for attention work completion and social navigationPerform duties as assigned by school administrationPerform other duties as per the building supervisor
