Job Summary
Position Summary
The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a tenure-track or tenured position in composition to join the faculty of a vibrantly active and performance-focused department. Expected start date: 08/01/2026. Responsibilities will include (1) teaching lessons for composition students at all levels and possibly teaching courses including Orchestration Composition Forum or other topics in rotation; (2) participating in all Composition Department activities including recruitment concert and recital attendance and sharing in the coordination of departmentally organized projects; (3) serving on doctoral advising committees for DM students; (4) serving on Jacobs School of Music committees; and (5) maintaining an active career as a composer.
