SUPPLY CHAIN

Rocket Labs Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials products and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers missions the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron & Neutronrockets manage inventory look after shipping and receiving manage direct and indirect procurement and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together and are critical to our success.

TEAM LEAD RECEIVING

Based onsite at Rocket Labs Auckland Production Complex the Team Lead Receiving is responsible for overseeing the receipting process and managing the receiving team to ensure the timely and accurate receipt processing and storage of components. You will support the Manager Inventory & Logistics and the Supply Chain organization ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures inventory accuracy and health and safety policies while driving operational excellence to support Rocket Labs mission to deliver world-class space systems.

WHAT YOULL GET TO DO:

  • Oversee the receipting process to ensure all goods are accurately received inspected and processed in a timely manner adhering to FIFO principles and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide daily direction support and leadership to Store Persons assigned to Receiving including onboarding training and performance monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvements across receipting processes while maintaining standard operating procedures and resolving receiving non-conformances in collaboration with buyers.
  • Support requisitions and liaise with Planners Buyers Production Team Leads and Logistics teams to ensure required parts are available and supplied in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a tidy orderly warehouse in accordance with the principles of 5S and ensure compliance with health and safety policies including correct PPE usage and incident reporting.

YOULL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams effectively in a warehouse inventory or logistics environment.
  • Strong IT knowledge comfortable working with Windows-based systems and experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Ability to independently perform a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from the manager.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build working relationships across teams and departments.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree.
  • Experience in aerospace automotive or other manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience in high-paced rapid growth environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles and document management systems.
  • A can-do attitude open to learning with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.
  • Regularly required to sit use hands and fingers operate computer keyboard and controls and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be physically able to commute to buildings.
  • Occasional exposure to dust fumes and moderate levels of noise.
