DescriptionPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring safety quality delivery cost and inventory accuracy while fostering a strong team culture built on leadership accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coach and support employees in alignment with GKNs Six Promises and cultural standards.
- Maintain a visible presence on the shift while directly coaching and mentoring team members.
- Manage team performance including recognition feedback attendance tracking and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Environmental Health and Quality (EHSQ) standards and housekeeping requirements.
- Develop employee schedules manage overtime vacations LOAs and holiday coverage.
- Plan and support training cross-training and employee development initiatives.
- Expedite production prototype and PPAP parts to support internal operations and external customers.
- Coordinate with finance planners and cycle counters to resolve inventory and shipping discrepancies.
- Oversee EDI/ASN transactions returnable dunnage control and customer-owned packaging.
- Measure analyze and report warehouse performance and cost control metrics.
- Lead physical inventory counts and support corrective actions related to internal customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with QS9000 and ISO/TS 16949 procedures and work instructions.
- Facilitate team meetings focused on quality safety productivity cleanliness and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred).
- 35 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of warehouse leadership experience.
- Experience working in QS9000 or ISO/TS 16949 environments.
- Proficiency in SAP Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel).
- Forklift certification and prior operating experience.
