As aData Scientistsupporting theAmericas Commercial Operations team you will apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to generate insights optimize reporting processes and support the development of intelligent automation solutions. This role is focused on transforming business challenges into data-driven models and scalable analytical frameworks that enable better decision-making across the region.
In this role a typical day will include:
Partnering with Commercial Operations stakeholders to frame business problems into analytical and modeling approaches
Developing and validating statistical or machine learning models to support reporting optimization and decision-making
Collaborating with AI Engineers to integrate models into broader automation or AI-driven workflows
Performing exploratory data analysis feature engineering and model performance evaluation
Communicating findings limitations and recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics Mathematics Engineering Economics or related field.
Experience
3 years of experience in Data Science Advanced Analytics or Machine Learning roles.
Experience building predictive statistical or optimization models in business environments.
Exposure to deploying models into production environments or supporting implementation with engineering teams.
Technical Skills
Strong programming skills inPythonandSQL.
Experience with data modeling feature engineering and performance evaluation techniques.
Experience working in cloud environments such asAWS.
Exposure to machine learning frameworks and experimentation workflows.
Familiarity with data governance and documentation practices.
