As part of large-scale application modernization and evolution projects we are looking for a Senior QA Lead specializing in performance capacity and application robustness.
You will act as a performance reference within complex project teams working closely with development architecture infrastructure and business stakeholders. Your role will be to secure the performance stability and scalability of delivered solutions intervening proactively throughout the entire project lifecycle.
The position is part of a performance engineering approach where performance is considered a structuring factor of quality business value and operational reliability.
- Define and implement performance strategies covering multiple dimensions: technical performance application usage capacity robustness and resilience
- Intervene early in projects to identify performance risks during design phases (architecture technology choices integration patterns)
- Participate in application architecture reviews from a performance capacity and scalability perspective
- Design test scenarios representative of real usage including critical user journeys batch processing high-volume operations and peak periods
- Define acceptable performance criteria (SLA SLO thresholds capacity objectives) in collaboration with business and IT teams considering operational constraints and market standards
- Prepare execute and analyze load scalability stress spike and robustness tests on pre-production or controlled production environments
- Analyze performance test results and correlate them with observability data (metrics logs traces) to identify application or infrastructure bottlenecks
- Work closely with development infrastructure and operations teams to identify root causes of performance issues and support remediation plans
- Produce and communicate clear decision-oriented performance indicators (KPIs) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to go-live decisions by providing an objective assessment of performance capacity and stability risks
- Integrate and promote performance testing within CI/CD pipelines following a continuous performance and regression-prevention approach
- Act as a technical leader and reference in application performance contributing to the continuous improvement of QA practices and organizational standards
- Significant experience in software quality assurance with strong expertise in application performance capacity and load testing
- Solid understanding of performance-related technical challenges: resource management data volume batch processing inter-system integrations latency and contention
- Ability to think in terms of performance engineering beyond simple test execution
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter Gatling k6 LoadRunner or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of observability and APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace Datadog New Relic AppDynamics Grafana Prometheus Elastic Stack)
- Good understanding of modern application architectures (microservices APIs event-driven architectures public cloud)
- Hands-on experience with containerized and orchestrated environments (Docker Kubernetes) including capacity planning and autoscaling concepts
- Ability to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI GitHub Actions Azure DevOps Jenkins or equivalent)
- Understanding of database performance challenges (queries indexing data volumes) and ability to collaborate with DBA or data teams
- Excellent analytical synthesis and communication skills with a strong advisory and influencing mindset
- Autonomy rigor critical thinking and a strong sense of ownership.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70000$135000
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
