On behalf of our client we are seeking a NOC Engineer will be responsible for the real-time monitoring support and first-level troubleshooting of network infrastructure and services.
Overview of the Position
The role ensures rapid detection escalation and resolution of network incidents to maintain service availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems links and services using NOC tools and dashboards on a 24/7 basis.
- Detect log classify and respond to network alarms incidents and service degradations.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalate issues to Network Engineers or vendors as required.
- Coordinate incident resolution and track issues through to closure.
- Communicate network incidents outages and planned maintenance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support routine network maintenance and configuration activities.
- Maintain accurate incident logs shift handover reports and outage documentation.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly network performance and availability reports.
- Follow established NOC procedures escalation paths and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure adherence to operational standards security guidelines and change management processes.
- Participate in shift rotations including night weekend and holiday coverage.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the NOC Manager or Network Operations leadership.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Telecommunications or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a NOC network support or technical operations role.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts IP networks and monitoring tools.
- Experience in ISP or telecom operations is an added advantage.
