NIGHT SUPERVISOR OF OPERATIONS/NIGHT WATCH THIRD SHIFT Housing & Residential Services assists the Assistant Director of 3rd Shift Operations and Training in efficiently addressing all evening and overnight housing needs including weekends and holidays. This also includes assisting in the management and supervision of the Night Watch Program. This program provides us with dormitory patrol personnel that do overnight security tours throughout all undergraduate and graduate houses. Evening and overnight operational support will require responding to all dispatched housing-related calls which may require evaluation for the appropriate response. This includes all operational issues including fire alarms floods and medical emergencies. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the Division of Student Life Department of Facilities MIT Police Students as well as other administrative offices as part of an overall institutional effort to provide integrated seamless service to residents.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of three years of experience in the area of security emergency response and building facilities; Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks set priorities work independently and work well in a fast pace environment; strong planning and problem solving skills; ability to perform as a first responder to offer direction and support for operational security or medical emergencies; ability to produce clear written and verbal communication and ability to interact professionally with administrators faculty students and departmental personal; and demonstrate experience with the use of web based programs including e-mail word excel asset management and security systems. PREFERRED: Bachelors degree in a related field; experience in administrative of college/university facilities management services including supervision in the union environment.
Working Conditions: Frequent sitting standing and walking may be required for long periods of time ability to climb multiple levels of stairs ability to lift 50lbs and required to carry a department issued phone and two-way radio.
Work Schedule: This position is classified as essential personnel which requires work all holidays and emergency closings. It is an irregular shift which requires availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
