Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Parts Manager to oversee our parts department operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inventory control staff management vendor relations and ensuring excellent service to both technicians and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the parts department
Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular audits
Order parts and supplies while controlling costs and minimizing obsolescence
Supervise train and schedule parts department staff
Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely parts availability
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when appropriate
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Monitor department performance and meet or exceed profitability goals
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Manager or Senior Parts Counterperson
Strong knowledge of automotive parts inventory systems and cataloging
Experience with dealership or shop management software (Dealertrack Mitchell etc. preferred)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
