Job Summary

The Systems & Data Analyst strengthens Hausmann Groups operations by improving data integrity optimizing systems and delivering meaningful insights to support decision-making across the agency. This role will steward data accuracy within the Agency Management System build and maintain dashboards support financial analysis and partner with Accounting Client Service Sales and Leadership to drive operational clarity.


The Analyst serves as a bridge between daily database activity and long-term strategic improvement ensuring Hausmann Group has reliable data reporting infrastructure and the system discipline needed to leverage technologies such as AI automation and machine learning. This is both a technical and collaborative role combining analytical execution with process improvement system stewardship and cross-departmental partnership.

  • Data Analysis: Demonstrates analytical rigor by producing accurate timely financial and operational insights that inform decision-making and strategic initiatives. Applies advanced data visualization and interpretation skills to create dashboards and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Systems Management: Accurately and efficiently uses and updates our internal databases. Provides governance and oversight of the Agency Management System and related platforms to ensure data integrity scalability and reporting accuracy. Applies technical expertise to develop scalable queries and integrations while partnering with IT and vendors to optimize functionality and prepare for automation and AI readiness.
  • Innovation & Workflow: Identifies opportunities to streamline and automate workflows using structured process-improvement principles. Demonstrates a continuous-improvement mindset by reducing manual effort eliminating recurring errors and supporting adoption of new tools and processes. Develop and implement new ideas processes and technologies to enhance efficiency productivity and effectiveness within the Agency.
  • Business Savviness: Applies strong business judgment to evaluate technology investments system enhancements and process changes. Aligns analytical work with strategic priorities by assessing ROI and understanding how workflows impact broader agency operations.
  • Collaboration: Be respectful of diverse thoughts views and approaches. Communicates clearly and effectively across Accounting Service Sales and Leadership to build alignment and trust. Partners cross-functionally to ensure system changes data standards and reporting tools are understood adopted and consistently applied.
Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Information Systems Data Science / Analytics or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in data analytics financial systems or business intelligence.
  • Insurance agency Insurance carrier and/or Applied Epic experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with complex data and systems.
  • Proficiency in Power BI advanced Excel and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with data lake technologies (e.g. Azure Data Lake AWS S3 Google Cloud Storage)
  • Experience supporting process improvement system integration or workflow redesign.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into practical tools and insights for non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms AI tools or machine learning concepts a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • Constantly able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery 90% of the time.
  • Constantly able to observe details including letters numbers and colors at close range.
  • Able to move or transport objects weighing up to 10lbs. Frequency and duration will vary.


Working Conditions:

  • The position will be based in Madison Wisconsin.
  • Regularly work during our core business hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.
  • A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required.
