WHAT WILL I DO
As a Kitchen Coordinator you will:
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth efficient meal service and overall kitchen workflow
- Serve as the primary point of contact for kitchen scheduling needs including coordinating kitchen employee rotations and coverage as needed
- Step in to assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks during high-volume periods or staff absences when necessary
- Assist with inventory tracking and communicate supply needs to appropriate personnel
- Act as a liaison between the kitchen and gardening teams to support coordination and collaboration
- Support composting efforts including proper food waste sorting handling and transfer to the gardening team
- Assist the gardening team during downtime or as needed with basic garden support activities
- Participate in sustainability and environmental initiatives that support both kitchen and garden operations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a kitchen food service or culinary environment is preferred.
- Experience coordinating staff schedules kitchen operations or workflow is required.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitation standards and basic kitchen equipment is required.
