Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) the Superintendents Office is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the position of Executive Operations Manager Superintendents Office.
The Executive Operations Manager for the Superintendents Office supports business operational administrative and governance functions for the Superintendent Deputy Superintendent Executive Cabinet and Los Angeles County Board of Education. This role coordinates office workflow prepares board and executive materials manages routine governance requirements and maintains communication with internal and external stakeholders.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
Serves as the communication liaison between the County Superintendent Deputy Superintendent and the County Board of Education Board of Supervisors Education Deputies district superintendents State Department of Education and other regional and national agencies boards commissions associations community groups and officials
Coordinates daily office operations including managing calendars reviewing and scheduling meeting requests overseeing workflow and ensuring timely communication and completion of assignments by support staff
Develops and maintains office procedures desk manuals filing systems and communication processes
Oversees the preparation and distribution of the Board agendas meeting materials notices and related communications ensuring accuracy timely delivery and effective follow-up on required actions
Supports Board meeting operations by ensuring compliance with public meeting laws (e.g. the Brown Act) adherence to Roberts Rules of Order and serving as a point of contact for inquiries regarding Board processes and meeting logistics
Prepares and supports written communications and documentation including correspondence reports presentations meeting summaries and follow-up materials
Supports the planning and coordination of meetings retreats special events and public engagements including managing logistics such as venues materials and attendee communication
Tracks project tasks deadlines and progress to ensure effective execution and successful completion of initiatives led by the Superintendents Office Deputy Superintendent Executive Cabinet and/or the Board
Coordinates cross-departmental business initiatives ensuring finance budgets and operations align with priorities and deadlines
Provides daily leadership and coordination for administrative and executive support staff including scheduling task management workload monitoring and assistance with routine operational problem-solving
Supports staff development and training initiatives to enhance office efficiency service quality and overall effectiveness of administrative operations within the Superintendents Office and other LACOE divisions

Required Education and ExperienceEducation:A bachelors degree in business public administration communications or other field related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience:Four years of administrative experience in a public agency or educational institution including two years of experience directly supporting executives or governing bodies and two years of lead experience.
Additional Requirements:This classification works on the Superintendent Deputy Superintendent and Boards schedule which may include early mornings evenings weekends and on-call hours. A valid California drivers license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between work sites may be required.
