The Network Engineer will focus on engineering and delivering enterprise data network technologies with an emphasis on strategic project delivery across a global network. This is a role local to the Napa Valley area and requires frequent local travel to wineries throughout the area and occasionally outside it.
This position will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of stable and efficient network services for stakeholders that drive shareholder value particularly in the wine business. The Network Engineer will work with the appropriate technology teams business stakeholders vendors/partners and leadership to ensure that network services meet company needs and required performance metrics (SLAs).
Responsibilities include gathering requirements for new implementations architecting and optimizing key functional areasparticularly network infrastructure technologiesand documenting solutions for handoff to support providers. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key business partners onsite engineering teams and vendors. The organization has an excellent reputation within the wine industry and the ideal candidate will demonstrate the importance of maintaining that relationship.
- Design and lead large-scale network service project implementations working with industrial engineering teams IT groups and external service providers
- Direct vendors to ensure successful completion of networking project deliverables
- Design configure install and maintain network infrastructure components (data/voice/video) including user industrial and retail/hospitality networks
- Provide escalation support for any network issues detected by support providers
- Ensure that all project-based work within the global network is implemented with quality delivered on time and meets enterpriseclass reliability standards
- Analyze network functions and evaluate services provided; develop action plans and recommendations; identify milestones and issues; generate necessary reports
- Evaluate recommend justify and ensure proper toolsets and procedures are implemented maintained and used effectively
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations and see that all issues are addressed and resolved
- Plan develop and design network management and maintenance projects including policies procedures operational improvements and technology integration
- Provide leadership across converged technology platforms and foster effective collaboration to deliver highquality customer service
- Monitor and stay current with emerging technologies for possible adoption
- Work within a team environment to manage systems lead upgrades and coordinate installs
- Provide project warranty support through the ticketing system until project closure
- Participate in an oncall rotation

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of enterprise network experience with progressive career growth
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking industry trends and practical application
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with existing infrastructure
- Demonstrated track record of delivering major IT infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget
- Strong engineering experience with diverse networking vendor solutions
