Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Wound Ostomy Nurse you will connect our hospital directly to the community delivering specialized in-home care that empowers patients to heal comfortably and effectively.
Every day you will expertly manage in-home patient visits performing advanced treatments like PICC line care wound vacs and infusions while educating patients and families on complex conditions and treatments.
To be successful in this role you must be an exceptionally organized independent professional adept at managing complex schedules patient care and technology-driven documentation. Your deep commitment to patient engagement and advocacy will make you a vital defense against declining health fostering a profound impact on individual well-being.
- Develops staff schedules and makes adjustments as needed to assure comprehensive patient care.
- Assists Director with KRONOS as needed including staff completion of Edit Logs and Mileage requests.
- Organizes and keeps track of Wound Center supplies; orders as needed.
- Assists with orientation of new staff.
- Assists with the special needs of each patient in the clinical setting to provide a quality patient care environment.
- Leads staff huddles and informs staff of pertinent information.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Of Nursing graduate of accredited school of nursing and 2 years RN experience upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: TN upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
Preferred
- experience in diabetes and/or patient education
- Certified Diabetes Educator upon hire
