Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in telemetry and adult medical-surgical care with the ability to manage patients with varying levels of acuity. This role requires excellent assessment skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)

Must be available to work consecutive weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry setting.

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to patient condition changes.

Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications IV therapies and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

Coordinate patient care with physicians specialists and other healthcare team members.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans medications and discharge instructions.

Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record system.

Maintain compliance with infection control practices safety regulations and clinical standards.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Active Hawaii RN License required prior to the start of the contract.

Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry or PCU settings.

Ability to work rotating shifts weekends and holidays as required.

Strong critical thinking patient assessment and communication skills.
Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

NIH Stroke Scale Certification

STABLE Program Certification

Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)
