The Line Cook at Golfzon Social Scarsdale is responsible for preparing menu items with consistency speed and attention to quality. This position plays a key role in delivering a great guest experience by ensuring all food is prepared accurately and presented to standard.
Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook all menu items according to company recipes portion standards and plating guidelines.
Maintain a clean organized and sanitized workstation throughout service.
Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Follow proper food safety holding temperatures labeling and storage procedures.
Assist with daily prep station setup and end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning.
Ensure all products are rotated properly using the FIFO (First-In First-Out) method.
Uphold high standards of food consistency and quality during peak service times.
Report any equipment issues product shortages or safety concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen preferred but training is available for motivated candidates.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tickets at once.
Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation.
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and safety procedures.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays.
