Office Assistant/Front Desk District Office
FLSA-Non Exempt Hourly Position
12 Months-8 hours per day 40 hours per week
Reports to: Business Manager
Position Summary:
The Office Assistant provides clerical administrative and customer service support to the school district office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for staff students parents and the public ensuring efficient office operations through accurate record-keeping effective communication and a positive professional demeanor. The Office Assistant supports daily office functions while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a welcoming and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or higher education preferred
- Ability to meet people and handle a variety of office tasks.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with studentsstaff and the community.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written maintain confidentiality
- Ability to organize prioritize take initiative responsible for workload meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions and with minimum supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills detail accuracy and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in use of technology and office-related computer skills
- Regular and on-time attendance required
Essential Duties Include:
- Assist with a variety of financial information for the purpose of providing support of the day-to-day operations
- Print Checks
- Enter deposit tickets
- Enter In-Touch Deposits
- Vendor Management
- Process payments daily
- Assist with clerical work in other areas of the District Office
- Oversee the volunteer application and setup process across the district
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person
- First point of contact for district office visitors offering assistance and ensuring they are directed to the proper staff member
- Responsible for distributing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail including metering and delivering to the post office
- Manage weekly district office supply orders and ensure delivery to the appropriate staff member
- Maintains current knowledge of federal and state laws affecting school business operations accounting standards and financial operations and school management.

- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work units.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as requires by policy or Statute
DEMONSTRATED SKILL/ABILITY TO:
- Communicate information and ideas effectively
- Provide quality customer service
- Apply a logical thought process necessary for problem solving and decision-making
- Research and reconcile documents to automated systems
- Organize and prioritize
- Attention to detail and accuracy
