This training program is designed to provide a transitioning service member with a comprehensive hands-on experience in a civilian Security Operations Center. The program will leverage the fellows existing military cybersecurity knowledge and translate it to commercial tools processes and a corporate environment.
The goal is for the fellow to become a qualified Tier 2 SOC Analyst or Information Security Engineer capable of in-depth incident investigation threat hunting and contributing to overall security posture of the organization and the workforce.
You Will:
- Support Security Incidents ensuring that any serious threats and impacts are understood mitigated and learnt from with speed and professionalism
- Conduct Investigations digging into the context of situations and determining if a threat exists and taking action to prevent it
- Collaborate cross-functionally with information security legal human resources executive teams external (developers & customers) and the security community
- Work collaboratively with other teams in security and engineering to support (and sometimes lead) high profile events or responses to vulnerabilities
- Produce Security response procedures including runbooks IRPs workflows and automations as well as internal briefings
- Threat Hunt for anomalous activity in our signals determine if these outliers are threats or expected behavior
