Job Summary
Suncoast Hospice a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated Pediatric Case Manager RN to work with us in Pinellas County providing exceptional care.
Schedule: Days Weekend Requirement

What youll Do
Under physicians orders the Pediatric Nurse is responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventative and supportive care to terminally ill children with a variety of health issues and their families.
Utilizes assessment intervention and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.
The Empath Health Pediatric Nurse reports to Manager Pediatric Services.

What Youll Need
Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; three (3) years nursing experience with at least one (1) year acute care setting preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience caring for children with life threatening illnesses preferred.
Minimum 2 years pediatric experience experience with high tech care preferred.
Licensure:
o Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
o Valid Florida State Drivers License
Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
For field-based positions employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance a copy of which will be placed in the employees HR file.
