Job Summary

Summary
The Drafting Manager will work alongside The President and Project Managers to help Prepare Clear and Concise Shop Drawings from The Drafters for The Field Installers. The Drafting Manager will Oversee Manage Train The Drafters in Participating in Weekly Coordination Meetings Updating Shop Drawings Send RFIs for any Clarifications needed from Drawings. The Drafter Manger will be Responsible Confirming The Drafters are Preparing Technical Drawings with Dimensions to be used on Construction Sites.

Essential Functions
  1. Prepare Shop Drawings using Computer Aided Design (CADD) Software to Produce Detailed 2D/3D Drawings Floor Plans Elevations and Cross-Sections.
  2. Work from Rough Sketches or Specifications Created by Engineers and Architects to understand Project Requirements.
  3. Add Detail to Architectural and Mechanical Plans for Proper Installation.
  4. Specify Dimensions Materials and Procedures for New Products.
  5. Ensure all Drawings meet Industry Standards Building Codes and Project-Specific Guidelines.
  6. Work Closely with President and Project Managers for Accurate Drawings.
  7. Other Duties as Assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree or Diploma in Drafting Architecture Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of Demonstrable Experience as a Drafter.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar) and the Ability to Produce High-Quality Drawings.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and Precision in Drafting Ensuring that all Dimensions and Specifications are Accurate.
  • Familiarity with Construction and Manufacturing Processes with an Understanding of design Standards.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration Skills.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills and the Ability to Find Practical Solutions to Design Challenges.
  • Additional Certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a Plus.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday: 7:00 am 5:00 pm.
