Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Composes correspondence memos and reports according to guidelines and in a timely manner
- Type format create and proofread a variety of materials including handwritten typewritten correspondence presentations memos reports agendas and contracts as instructed and verifies the conformity of documents to Texas Childrens Hospital standards
- Assemble documents and presentations as needed for external meetings
- Manages the leaders calendar
- Telephone various internal and external personnel to arrange meetings
- Coordinate with other administrative staff to reserve conference rooms as needed
- Answer the telephone in a courteous manner identifying department and offering assistance
- Take telephone messages including name of caller date time return telephone number and legible message when applicable
- Retrieve messages immediately and take appropriate action upon return-to-work area.
- Interface with all employees in a professional courteous manner to assure that requests are met amicably and a congenial work atmosphere is maintained
- Maintain excellent relationships with departments throughout the hospital assuring a good working atmosphere
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail
- Arrange travel
- Participate in reception relief
Skills & Requirements
- Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent Required
- Required 5 Years Secretarial Experience Required
- Preferred Medical and College Background
