We are supporting a leading global financial institution in search for a Head of Trade Support to oversee a highperforming Trade Support function spanning multiple regions and asset classes. This is a strategic leadership role within Operations designed for an experienced professional who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is committed to operational excellence process control and crossdepartment collaboration.
As the Head of Trade Support you will ensure accurate and efficient trade capture booking and downstream processing across equities fixed income and prime services. You will lead a team responsible for maintaining strong operational controls supporting frontoffice activity and partnering with technology to drive workflow automation and systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Trade Support activities to ensure frontoffice executions and bookings feed into backoffice systems accurately efficiently and within established controls across all regions.
- Manage coach and develop a team of Trade Support professionals ensuring consistent performance and operational standards.
- Maintain and update client and broker account static commission rules tax rules instrument static and trade confirmation settings across frontend systems.
- Oversee trade allocations (cash/swap manual/CTM) and ensure endofday allocation completion for all European bookings.
- Manage exception queues to ensure timely trade flow into core systems such as Phase3.
- Deliver timely and professional support to traders sales settlements finance Prime compliance risk and IT teams.
- Resolve trade queries system issues P&L discrepancies FX differences and cash breaks and proactively address recurring issues.
- Conduct regular meetings with key business stakeholders to identify risks enhance controls and improve processes.
- Provide oversight of daily reconciliations position and cash breaks and key control reports (e.g. cancel/amend late booked extended settlement).
- Investigate compliance and riskmanagement trade inquiries ensuring all operational processes meet internal standards.
- Partner with technology and posttrade teams to enhance system integration streamline workflows and drive automation across platforms.
- Lead and contribute to key projects such as system conversions platform implementations account setup initiatives and process optimization programs.
- Participate in working groups including Equities Emerging Markets Swap Operating Committee New Business Committee and monthly operational committees.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience within Trade Support or Middle Office functions ideally across equities fixed income and prime services.
- Strong understanding of trade capture allocation workflows exception management and operational controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with traders technology teams and external counterparties.
- Proven leadership capability with experience managing both people and processes.
- Ability to remain calm resilient and solutionsfocused under pressure.
- Experience with the following systems is highly advantageous:
Fidessa Bloomberg Phase3 (FIS) DTCC Crest GUI Triana. - Proactive and highly organized.
