NOTICE OF JOB POSTING

POSITION TITLE: HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

DPW HIGHWAY DIVISION

AFSCME LOCAL 1700 GRADE 9

FULL-TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK)

FULL PAY RANGE: $58633.12 - $78789.36 PER YEAR

HIRING PAY RANGE: $58633.12 - $63129.04 PER YEAR

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Be able to maintain a truck such as changing oil greasing & keeping in a clean workable condition.
Must be able to operate small equipment such as roadside mower sidewalk plow compressors etc.
Must be able to perform all duties of Laborer/Light Equipment Operator.
Must be able to operate equipment such as twelve (12) ton roller grader sweeper front-end loader with two (2) yard bucket and backhoe.
Must be able to adjust and maintain equipment such as grease oil replace and repair equipment change tires keep in good running condition.
General welding with electric welder (steel and cast iron) burning steel materials with acetylene torch operate sign-making machine.
Must be willing to learn and advance to a higher grade.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a positive team player and work in a collaborative environment At least one (1) year as a laborer
At least one (1) year as a laborer
At least one (1) year as a heavy equipment operator
Must hold a CDL Class B
Must hold a Hoisting Engineer License Class C
Endorsement for Catch Basin and Roadside Mower preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent
