Are you a Science graduate looking to gain classroom experience in a secondary school
A school in Redbridge is recruiting a Science Teaching Assistant from September. This role is ideal for graduates who are considering teacher training and want to build valuable experience in the classroom.
As a Science Teaching Assistant you will work with students across KS3 and KS4 supporting them with biology chemistry and physics. You will run small group sessions provide one-to-one support and assist teachers with experiments resources and lesson delivery. This role will allow you to see how students learn across different scientific disciplines and how teachers support them in achieving GCSE success.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting students in science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Running small intervention groups in biology chemistry or physics
Helping students prepare for GCSE exams
Supporting practical science lessons and experiments
Tracking and recording student progress
Were looking for:
A UK degree at 2:1 or above in a science-related subject
Good communication and organisational skills
An interest in education and helping young people achieve
A commitment to the full academic year
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. Overseas degrees even with a UK Masters cannot be considered. Applicants must also have UK citizenship or the right to work.
