Position Summary:
The Material Handler performs duties required to receive store and maintain records on component parts. Responsible for counting checking and storage of all component parts.
Measures of success:
- Offload and shelve weekly TCR truck in 2 days
- Constant consolidation and cleanup of warehouse to maximize storage capacity
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must have understanding and ability to support previous level duties
- Ensures accuracy completeness condition of materials received
- Updates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directed
- Maintains electric truck and fork truck; notifies supervisor if repairs required
- Load and unloads trucks
- Unpacks received shipments into designated bin locations
- Maintain organize and consolidate warehouse continuously
- Assists in cycle counts; reports inventory discrepancies
- Maintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating condition
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift experience required
- Physically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push pull lift and/or move materials of up to 60 lbs.
- Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
- Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems
- Attention to detail is essential for success
- Well organized
- Capable of following written and/or verbal instruction
Work Environment
This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position reports on-site for all scheduled shifts.
