Work Status: On-site

Position Summary:

The Material Handler performs duties required to receive store and maintain records on component parts. Responsible for counting checking and storage of all component parts.

Measures of success:

  • Offload and shelve weekly TCR truck in 2 days
  • Constant consolidation and cleanup of warehouse to maximize storage capacity

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Must have understanding and ability to support previous level duties
  • Ensures accuracy completeness condition of materials received
  • Updates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directed
  • Maintains electric truck and fork truck; notifies supervisor if repairs required
  • Load and unloads trucks
  • Unpacks received shipments into designated bin locations
  • Maintain organize and consolidate warehouse continuously
  • Assists in cycle counts; reports inventory discrepancies
  • Maintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating condition

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift experience required
  • Physically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push pull lift and/or move materials of up to 60 lbs.
  • Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
  • Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems
  • Attention to detail is essential for success
  • Well organized
  • Capable of following written and/or verbal instruction

Work Environment

This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position reports on-site for all scheduled shifts.

Full Compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Salary range
$19.20$24.96 CAD
