Role Overview

The HR Manager is a foundational internal role responsible for building and operating MBK Globals talent acquisition and people operations capability across the holding company ventures and project teams.

This is not corporate HR.
It is a hands-on execution-focused role combining recruitment people operations and on-the-ground coordination in a CXO-led organisation.

The role operates with strong coordination and escalation responsibility working closely with CXOs to ensure alignment discipline and execution quality across teams.


Operating Context

  • MBK Global operates with CXO-led governance and disciplined execution.
  • Leadership is regularly present in Pakistan with active engagement across teams.
  • The HR Manager ensures that standards priorities and ways of working are consistently applied across ventures and projects particularly during periods of rapid growth or delivery intensity.


Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (Immediate Focus)

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across:

Pakistan (Karachi-based engineering product data design operations)

  • Qatar (select senior and client-critical roles)
  • Venture- and project-based teams as activated
  • Translate business and delivery needs into clear realistic role definitions
  • Source screen interview and close candidates with speed judgement and quality
  • Build and maintain:
  • warm talent pipelines
  • venture-specific benches
  • trusted specialist networks
  • Ensure CXOs and senior leaders engage only with high-quality high-signal candidates

People Operations & HR Foundations

  • Draft and maintain:
    • employment contracts (Pakistan & Qatar)
    • project-based or fixed-term arrangements
    • NDAs and IP assignment clauses (critical for app-building and IP-heavy work)
  • Own onboarding and offboarding:
    • Day-1 readiness
    • day plans
    • clean exits aligned to project cadence
  • Maintain accurate employee and contractor records using Dynamics365BC
  • Manage probation confirmations and exits professionally
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and core HR administration

Performance Culture & Accountability

  • Support implementation of:
    • clear role expectations
    • delivery-oriented objectives
    • regular feedback and performance conversations
  • Support managers in:
    • addressing underperformance early
    • managing delivery pressure without burnout
  • Uphold meritocracy and professional standards across teams ventures and projects

Coordination & Escalation (Pakistan)

  • Act as a first point of coordination for people-related and team-level matters in Pakistan.
  • Surface risks frictions or conduct issues early and factually.
  • Coordinate with Operations IT and Finance to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Escalate matters to CXOs with clear context options and recommendations.


Required Profile

Experience & Background

  • 712 years of experience in HR talent acquisition or people operations
  • Strong hands-on recruitment experience in Pakistan
  • Experience supporting:
    • start-ups or scale-ups
    • technology / product / delivery organisations
    • venture- or project-based teams
  • Exposure to international hiring (Qatar / GCC) is a strong advantage

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong judgement in assessing talent and role fit
  • Structured interviewer; clear communicator
  • Comfortable hiring for speed accountability and delivery intensity
  • Strong operational discipline and attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems and HR data models including experience designing implementing or operating HRIS / people systems
  • Experience with Microsoft-based platforms is strongly preferred including Dynamics 365 Business Central or adjacent Microsoft ecosystem tools with an emphasis on clean data controlled workflows and scalable design
  • Able to operate calmly in fast-moving high-pressure environments
