SEN Teacher Brent January 2026
A welcoming specialist school in the London Borough of Brent is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its Primary provision from January 2026 (or February half-term). This role involves teaching small well-supported classes across Early Years to Year 2 working with pupils who present speech language and communication needs including autistic learners. You will be part of a close-knit multi-disciplinary team collaborating daily with skilled Teaching Assistants and on-site therapists to deliver a personalised curriculum that strengthens communication confidence and academic progress.
Salary and benefits
- Salary from 36500 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications with Inner London weighting where applicable.
- Permanent full-time position.
- Small classes typically 6 to 9 pupils with excellent adult support.
- Ongoing in-class support from experienced SEN TAs.
- Daily collaboration with Speech and Language Therapists Occupational Therapists and other specialist professionals.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Primary lessons matched to individual learning profiles.
- Assess track and report progress contributing to annual reviews and EHCP outcomes.
- Write review and adapt Individual Education Plans and personalised targets.
- Work in partnership with TAs therapists and families to ensure consistent joined-up support.
- Use calm clear behaviour strategies that help every child access learning successfully.
- Create a structured inclusive classroom environment where communication and independence grow daily.
About you
- QTS (or equivalent) and at least two years Primary teaching experience.
- Confident teaching across EYFS and/or KS1.
- Strong SEN experience particularly autism and speech language and communication needs.
- Warm adaptable and creative with excellent classroom practice and high expectations.
- A genuine team player who values collaboration with families and wider professionals.
