About the Role We are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Hearing Representative to join our California team. This inoffice position plays a critical role in representing injured workers before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). The ideal candidate exercises strong independent judgment manages legal responsibilities confidently and collaborates closely with supervising attorneys to achieve successful case outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Represent clients before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board including appearances at depositions hearings conferences and trials.
- Conduct and assist with discovery including obtaining and reviewing medical and employment records.
- Negotiate litigate and settle both caseinchief matters and legal issues.
- Support supervising attorneys with case evaluations and strategy development.
- Draft file and review pleadings correspondence and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and maintain professional communication with all parties involved.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment while managing an active caseload under the direction of supervising attorneys.
Required Skills & Qualifications - 5 years experience in California Workers Compensation representation required (Applicant side preferred).
- Knowledge of WCAB procedures litigation processes and discovery requirements.
- Strong communication negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a highvolume caseload with independence and professionalism.
- Excellent legal writing organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
Compensation - Salary Range: $90000 $125000 annually depending on experience.
