We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the operation maintenance of our Calgary buildings. This role is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance personnel and ensuring all facilities operate efficiently safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with HVAC/Mechanical systems as well as electrical and plumbing along with proven leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of 11 facilities
Supervise schedule and support a team of four maintenance staff
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs
Ensure proper operation of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
Coordinate repairs inspections and vendor services as needed
Maintain compliance with safety standards building codes and regulations
Develop and manage maintenance budgets and track expenses
Respond to emergency maintenance issues as required
Maintain accurate records reports and documentation
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings

What you bring to the table:

Proven experience as a facilities manager or in a similar role
Strong working knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
Experience supervising maintenance or facilities staff
Ability to manage multiple buildings and priorities effectively
Strong problem-solving organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
Proficiency with maintenance management systems and basic computer applications
Technical certifications or trade background (HVAC electrical plumbing etc.)
Experience maintaining/managing multiple buildings
Welding experience is an asset
