Were seeking experienced (Civil) Laboratory Technicians to join us at our Mount Wellington Yard on a fixed term Maternity Leave Cover basis (6month period).

This role will have you working within a team that covers the quality control testing of Aggregates Asphalt Binders and Road Materials. Your environment could be in both the laboratory and out on project sites conducting field work as part of the major construction developments.

As technical as this role sounds We will support you with full training for applicants with transferable skills.

In addition to the above your role includes:

• Sample Testing: Youll be out in the field or in the lab obtaining samples and performing quality control tests on various materials.

• Data Crunching: Enter and analyse data to keep our standards high and our clients happy.

• Big Picture Thinking: Not just the how but the why youll be digging into the real-world implications of the results you achieve.

Were looking for someone with:

• Able to work both Day and Night Shifts

• A Class 1 Full Drivers licence Class 2 will be advantageous

• Whilst formal qualifications in an engineering geotechnical or material science background are advantageous.

• Similar experience in asphalt and/or aggregate testing is preferred or knowledge of construction materials

• A strong health and safety mentality alongside excellent communication skills both written and verbal
