Job Summary
A large and inclusive secondary school in Derby is seeking a dedicated Attendance & Safeguarding Officer to join its pastoral support team from January 2026.
The school places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing attendance and safeguarding and this role plays a vital part in supporting pupils and families.
The Role
Working closely with senior leaders pastoral staff and external agencies you will help monitor attendance and support safeguarding processes.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality
Following up absences with families and agencies
Supporting safeguarding referrals and record keeping
Working with pastoral teams to support vulnerable pupils
Maintaining accurate and confidential records
