Location: Phoenix AZ (Hybrid)
Position Type: Staff Augmentation
Hours: 40 hrs/week Day Shift (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Projected Start Date: February 2 2026
Projected End Date: June 30 2026

Position Overview

The Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board (AZBCB) is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR2) to support its call center operations. This role is responsible for answering incoming calls and providing information related to licensing payments compliance and general inquiries. The ideal candidate is professional customer focused and experienced in working in a fast paced call center environment.

This is an immediate need and onboarding will be expedited.

Work Location & Schedule
  • Address: 1740 W Adams St. Suite #4400 Phoenix AZ 85007
  • First week: Fully onsite for training
  • After training: Hybrid 1 2 days onsite per week
  • Local candidates only (must be available for in person interviews within 1 week of posting close)
Requirements
  • Must pass background check and drug screening through HireRight
  • Must be local at the time of submission
  • Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer
  • Resume must list:
    • Current location
    • Typing speed
    • CRM software experience (specific platform)
Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage incoming customer calls to the AZBCB
  • Provide information regarding:
    • Licensing procedures
    • Fees and payments
    • General inquiries
    • Compliance-related questions
  • Conduct phone interviews while entering data into internal systems
  • Utilize CRM systems to record and track customer interactions
  • Apply de-escalation and problem solving techniques to resolve customer issues
  • Maintain professionalism in a fast paced high volume call center environment
  • Ensure accuracy accountability and quality of service delivery
Required Knowledge
  • De-escalation practices and techniques
  • AZ Barbering & Cosmetology statutes rules and regulations (or willingness to learn)
  • Google Suite
  • Business English including grammar punctuation and sentence structure
  • Problem resolution strategies
Required Skills
  • 1 year of call center experience
  • Typing speed: 45 WPM or higher
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening
  • Proficiency with computers phones and software systems
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to respond effectively to customer complaints
Preferred Skills
  • De-escalation training or experience
  • Google Suite proficiency
