Real Estate Paralegal
About the Role:
A well-established full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support its Real Estate Department. This role is integral to the successful execution of complex real estate transactions working closely with attorneys clients lenders and third parties from initial due diligence through post-closing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and comfortable managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional and confidential communication with clients and transaction parties
- Accurately record and manage billable time
- Order title reports and assist attorneys with title and survey review
- Track and manage all critical transaction deadlines
- Draft and coordinate closing agendas acquisition and financing documents corporate/LLC consents and certificates and closing statements
- Coordinate all aspects of real estate closings
- Prepare and organize closing binders and maintain post-closing checklists and schedules
- Order and manage documents searches status certificates tax waivers municipal lien certificates and other public records
- Communicate with clients lenders title companies and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of transactions
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
- Minimum of 10 years of real estate paralegal experience
