Reference Number: 01.017(2026)Are you a dedicated professional who would like to gain experience within a busy Finance Department We are currently looking for a Grade VI to transfer to the Management Accounting Department where there is one SPC post available.Qualifications & ExperienceMust have: - 4 years relevant experience which includes administration experience in the Health Sector environment or service related industry
- Practical experience of use of IT systems / packages including Microsoft Excel
- Proven service delivery background strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Fluent command and understanding of the English language to include spoken and written word.
Desirable: - 3rd level qualification in a relevant field
- Working knowledge of SAP financials
- Have previous relevant accounting experience to effectively discharge duties and responsibilities
Procedures and Job Description (not exhaustive)- Assist in preparation of monthly IMR data for submission to the HSE/DOHC while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Support the Management Accounts Team by providing analysis and reporting in a timely manner on a monthly net outturn basis for clinical directorates corporate management and the hospital board.
- Facilitate in the efficient discharge of the manpower approval control process including externally funded positions.
- To assist in the non-stock requisition finance approval process new NSV requests and new Vendor Set-ups.
- Ensure that payroll related H.R. systems are operated effectively with regard to the funding status of employee positions.
- Assist in the establishment of the hospitals annual and multi-annual budgets at cost centre level utilising the relevant information databases.
- Participate in developing financial information in relation to planned service developments in conjunction with hospital management and adhoc service costing initiatives.
- To support the FPAs by reviewing the financial performance of business units monthly and provide supporting value added information to promote effective decision making at budget holder level.
- Assist in the roll out and implementation of the new IFMS system.
- Assist the FPAs on any specific and ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management Accountant
