We provide end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building operating and innovating our Cloud datacenters. We support operations business development and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions drive cash flow and ultimately delight our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with the AWS Data Center Supply Solutions (DCSS) Business Development and Real Estate teams to provide strategic guidance on investments alternatives and deal negotiations for regional expansions
Perform discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling often under tight deadlines and lead executive-level discussions. Ensure internal stakeholders (e.g. Real estate New and Existing Region Portfolio Management Product teams Networking Data Center Engineering Accounting Legal Tax etc.) are aligned with recommendations
Help prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new deals
Provide controllership and oversight of business case data integrity and approvals
Understand infrastructure market segments customer base and industry verticals and technology trends. Help set business development plans for target markets and ensure execution is aligned with approved expansion strategies
Develop business and technology acumen in order to understand and account for technology transitions and business evolution in financial models
Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement.
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or a Bachelors degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance)
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience in tax finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
