Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active health care assistant to join the team basedatMerseaIsland Medical Practice. The position is offered on apart-time basis for 24 hours per week.
Our GPsnursesand clinical teamsdontexist in isolation. For effective patient care we need a strong and supportive clinical team who keep each branchoperatingat its best and most efficient.
Therole of a health care assistantis critical to the smooth day to day running of the practice.
Dutieswill include;
- Phlebotomy ECGs immunisations
- Wound care for patients
- Conducting foot checks for diabetes
This list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change at request of the operations manager and GP partners.
About the Candidate
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active health care assistant. The ideal candidate would have the following;
- Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2
- Experience of working with and building up working relationships with GPs nursing and administration staff
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work well on their own as well as working in a team
- Strong understanding of confidentiality
About Us
Mersea Island Medical Practice is a local GP Practice with approximately 7500 patients. We are currently part of the Colte Partnership but will be independent from 1stApril 2026.
