JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the administration of anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in (1) Pre-Anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) Anesthesia induction maintenance and emergence; (3) Post Anesthesia Care: (4) Peri-Anesthetic and clinical support functions. Works collaboratively under the anesthesiologist and the overall direction of the OR Manager Director of Surgical Services and Vice President of Patient Care Services.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist.
Certification & Licensures:
Current licensure to practice as a CRNA in the state of Missouri.
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
PALS Certification
Experience:

Employee can reasonably anticipate skin mucus membrane parenteral contact with blood or other potential infectious materials that may result from the performance of the employees duties.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience and evidence of clinical competencies for acceptance into role.

Core Responsibilities:
Maintains the standards of anesthesia care and implements the related policies and procedures of the medical center and the Surgery department.
Reviews and follows the Anesthesiologists plan of care including the pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation anesthetic type and risk classification.
Demonstrates proficiency in all modes of administering general anesthesia.
Implementation of safe and appropriate care of the patient.
Reports pertinent patient data observations and reactions to supervising anesthesiologist and documents observations accurately.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform safe and effective patient care and/or interaction with all age groups.
Provides a Clean and Safe Patient Environment/Work Area.
