$18.75$19.75 per hour (based on experience)
Teach STEM-based curricula and lead engaging hands-on STEAM activities in classroom and community settings
Supervise and manage students during instructional sessions and events to ensure a safe respectful and inclusive learning environment
Create and maintain a structured motivating classroom atmosphere that supports student participation and positive behavior
Communicate clearly and professionally with students to foster curiosity and interest in STEM subjects
Set up and break down STEAM activities including preparing and operating the STEAM Mobile Lab
Participate in preparatory meetings prior to large events to review materials teaching strategies and logistics
When qualified contribute to the development or enhancement of lesson plans and curriculum content
Collect and analyze program data and submit weekly reports as required
College education in a STEM-related field (or currently pursuing)
Solid understanding of STEAM concepts with the ability to translate them into age-appropriate instruction
Strong communication and classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to various group sizes ages and learning needs
Strong critical-thinking patience and interpersonal skills
Prior experience working with youth in educational or mentorship roles preferably in STEM or STEAM settings
Valid drivers license
Laptops and smartphones for accessing curriculum and communicating with team members
Printed worksheets and physical instructional kits
STEAM Mobile Lab equipment including mobile lab technology and learning stations
STEAM Mobile Flight Simulator
Willingness and ability to learn new curricula and operate hardware
Frequent standing and walking during instruction and activity setup
Lifting and transporting program materials and equipment
Active monitoring of student behavior and engagement requiring attentiveness and mobility
Work is conducted in classrooms school campuses community centers and other venues accessed by the STEAM Mobile Lab
Occasional outdoor or non-traditional learning environments based on program needs
Typically 812 hours per week depending on scheduled events and contract commitments
Hours may vary week to week based on programming needs
