About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our this role you will work under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality care and help patients regain independence in daily activities. You will implement treatment plans monitor progress and provide compassionate support to patients and their families.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating patients functional status and home environments as delegated by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Teach and retrain patients in daily living activities lost due to illness or injury.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and submit documentation per organizational policy.
  • Follow treatment programs and document patient progress toward established goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in in-services case conferences and staff meetings.
  • Educate patients families and caregivers on treatment plans as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with supervision requirements and maintain ongoing communication with the supervising therapist.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Licensed by the NH State Licensing Board
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a COTA.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable insured vehicle.
  • Strong verbal written and organizational skills.

Working Conditions

This is a traveling position; reliable transportation is required for varied weather conditions.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Lift position or transfer patients up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching stooping bending kneeling or crouching.
  • Adequate vision and hearing to perform required duties.
